The BB occurrence is located about 5 kilometres south of Tenakihi Lakes approximately 60 kilometres northwest of the community of Germansen Landing.
The Vega property area is underlain by a steep southwest dipping volcanic-dominated sequence of the Upper Triassic Takla Group. The sequence includes andesitic flows, breccias and tuffs, and a mudstone-dominated sedimentary succession. Intruding the stratigraphy are dikes and sills of syenite, monzonite and diorite that are similar to, and possibly genetically related to, phases of the Early Jurassic Hogem Plutonic Suite. Intrusive contacts typically parallel the regional northwest structural trend.
Mineralization at the BB showing is hosted by malachite-stained biotite schist of the Takla Group and consists of fracture-controlled specular hematite, locally with up to 2 to 3 per cent coarse-grained chalcopyrite. In 2013, a rock sample (V13-B07) collected from the showing analyzed up to 1.775 per cent copper, 17.3 grams per tonne silver and 0.131 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 34637).
In 2013, a two-day helicopter-supported prospecting and soil geochemical sampling program was carried out on behalf of Canasil Resources Inc. to evaluate limited areas of the western part of the Vega property. This work covered the Pluto (094C 019), Bottle (094C 110) and Ten (Northeast) (094C 134) occurrences.
