The Kendall occurrence is located on a northwest ridge of Goat Mountain, approximately 44 kilometres northwest of the community of McBride.

The area is underlain by a northwest trending metasedimentary sequence of dolomitic siltstone, siliceous pelitic phyllite, grit, quartzite, and black phyllite.

Locally, significant quartz veining occupies the north-northwest trending fault between gritty quartzite and argillite units. Mineralization within the vein structure consists of chalcopyrite, bornite, minor arsenopyrite, and possibly some native copper and chalcocite, in lenses and streaks, 2 to 10 metres long and up to 1 metre wide, apparently associated with pelitic inclusions within the main vein structure.

In 1996, a large zone of copper staining was discovered and staked by T. Lemke, following an aerial reconnaissance. In 1997, Phelps Dodge examined and optioned the property, and carried out a modest program of geological mapping and rock geochemistry. In 1999 and 2000, a program of channel and chip sampling was completed. Sampling of mineralized vein material returned up to 6.9 grams per tonne silver, 0.05 gram per tonne gold and 12.6 per cent copper. Previous sampling in 1999 returned up to 2.54 per cent copper over 2.95 metres (Assessment Report 26551).
