Capsule Geology

The AHBAU LAKE SOUTH gold occurrence is located south of Ahbau Lake, approximately 34 kilometres northeast of Quesnel, B.C.

The Ahbau Lake area is characterised by thick glacial and glaciofluvial sediments, underlain primarily by schist and phyllites of the Snowshoe Group and ultramafic rocks of the Crooked Amphibolite series. The area has been explored for both hard rock and placer gold occurrences.

Results from 2023 hard rock drill hole AC23-002 returned 1.68 grams per tonne gold over 1 metre, at 160 metre depths. The intersection is described as carbonate +/- quartz breccia veins with very fine pyrite stringers and fracture fillings along sandstone boundaries, replacing mudstone lenses.

WORK HISTORY

From 1985 through 1987, Eureka Resources performed soil geochemical surveys, geological mapping and petrographic analysis on their Bau claims southwest of Ahbau Lake (Assessment Reports 15113 and 16374). Silver Sceptre Resources Ltd performed helicopter borne electromagnetic, magnetic, and VLF-EM surveys in the area in 1987(Assessment Report 16518). In 2007, Richfield Ventures Corp. had a soil geochemistry survey performed by D.J. Templeman-Kluit (Assessment Report 28937). Prospecting and soil and rock geochemical sampling was conducted in the southern region of Ahbau Lake by Silverstar Mining Corp. in 2012 and 2013 (Assessment Reports 33506, and 34233).

In 2021, 2D Resistivity surveys were done by Fargo Exploration Ltd for Alex Loo and Three Red Trees Holdings Ltd. (Assessment Reports 39654 and 39750). In 2022, passive seismic surveys by Tracker GPS Survey and Mapping Ltd. and a 2D Resistivity done by Fargo Exploration Inc. were completed (Assessment Reports 40548 and 40672). Fargo also conducted a 4-hole, 7.5 metre backpack drilling program in outcrops of Crooked Amphibolite, with limited results in 2022 (Assessment Report 40697). In 2023, passive seismic surveys were done by Tracker GPS Survey and Mapping Ltd. (Assessment Reports 41209 and 41293). Also in 2023, two hard rock drill holes (305 metres) were drilled by Proterra Drilling for Alex Loo and Three Red Trees Holding Ltd. (Assessment Reports 41600 and 41970). Additional resistivity surveys and passive seismic surveys were conducted in 2023 and 2024 for Alex Loo, 3RT Holdings Inc. and associates. Prospecting surveys and xx metres of RC drilling were achieved in 2025 (Assessment Reports 42650 and 42667).
