The AC 2 placer showing is located approximately 4.5 kilometres north of the former Alice Creek placer producer (Minfile 093G 087), approximately 9 kilometres northeast of the settlement of Cottonwood and 31 kilometres northeast of Quesnel.
There are several placer gold deposits along the Cottonwood River and its tributaries, such as John Boyd Creek, Norton Creek, Mary Creek and Alice Creek, which have been worked since the 1860's. The deposits are located in benches ranging in height from about a metre to several metres above the present course of the river.
Highlights from the 2023 RAB drilling program included 3 samples collected over a 4.58 metre interval from 15.24 to 19.82 metres depth in DH23-01 averaging 32.73 grams per tonne gold. The 62.48 metres of drilling in three holes returned average values of 0.901 gram per cubic yard, with a maximum sample value of 1.216 grams per cubic yard.
In 2006, Richfield Ventures Corp. established a soil grid in the area of the AC 2 showing. Of 1408 soils collected, four samples returned values of greater than 500 parts per billion. In 2021 and 2022, Three Red Trees Holdings Ltd. conducted preliminary exploration on their Alice Creek property using 2 D resistivity and passive seismic surveys in search of buried placer channels. This led to the drilling of 3 rotary air blast (RAB) holes in their northern claim area in 2023, totaling 62.48 metres. More passive seismic was done in 2023 leading to the drilling of a 141 metre deep diamond drill hole on the 617 Road location. Assays remain pending at the time of this report.
