The Mag area is underlain by Triassic volcaniclastics of the Nicola group. Granite and alkali feldspar granite intrusive rocks of the Cretaceous Naver Pluton, and associated satellitic bodies, intrude the Nicola rocks.
Mineralized rhyolite dikes intruded argillite on the Mag claims were sampled by Thios Resources in 1986. Chip samples taken of silicified breccia consisting of fragments of argillite and rhyolite dike material which are partly replaced by pyrite and cemented with fine silica mixed with clay, calcite and sericite (?), analyzed 1.6 grams per tonne gold (Sample M3KR13). The highest assay, obtained from the least weathered part of the dyke (above the water level), contained 2.2 grams per tonne gold 37.7 grams per tonne silver and 0.22 per cent lead and 4.1 per cent arsenic (Sample M3R1)(Assessment Report 15848). This sample exhibits the fragmental texture characteristic of hydrothermal breccias.
In 1986, Thios Resources Inc conducted exploration on their Mag claims collecting 4 heavy mineral samples, 20 rock samples 289 soil samples and coducted 88.9 kilometres of VLF-EM and ground magnetic surveying. Richfield Ventures Corp held the Mag ground from 2005 to date (2009) and have explored various parts of their large tenure holdings including Mouse Moutain (093G 003) G-South (093G 007).
