The Silver Star (DLE) occurrence is located close to Keefeās Landing Road, west of Takysie Creek and approximately 3.5 kilometres northwest of the north end of Snowflake Lake.
The area is underlain by marine sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group, coarse clastic sedimentary rocks of the Middle to Upper Jurassic Bowser Lake Group and undivided volcanic rocks of the Middle Jurassic Naglico Formation (Hazelton Group).
Locally, an oxidized siliceous andesite hosts narrow (less than 3-centimetre-wide) quartz veins with azurite-malachite staining and possible tetrahedrite.
In 2015, two grab samples (193054 and 193055) assayed 317 and 42.7 grams per tonne silver, respectively, with up to 0.387 per cent copper, 0.803 per cent lead and 0.228 per cent antimony (Robb, W. [2019-10-14]: Technical Report - Silver Star Property).
