The Key East occurrence is located at an elevation of approximately 1360 metres on a south east facing slope, approximately 2.1 kilometres south east of Tsacha Mountain.
The area is underlain by volcanic rock of the Middle Jurassic Naglico Formation, Hazelton Group.
In 2010, three 1.0-metre long chip samples (I06528 through I006530) from an outcrop of felsic volcanic containing up to 25 per cent pyrite, located approximately 650 metres south-southeast of the Key East occurrence, yielded from 4.2 to 5.8 grams per tonne silver and 0.021 to 0.035 per cent tungsten (Assessment Report 31702).
In 2011, Troymet Exploration Corp completed one drill hole (Key-10) northeast of Good News Lake on the Key claims. The hole encountered porphyry-style, pervasive disseminated pyrite with scattered chalcopyrite mineralization. Drill intercepts included 2.94 metres grading 0.14 per cent copper; 2.50 metres of 0.12 per cent copper and 0.77 metre of 0.1 per cent copper (Assessment Report 33068). Rock types intersected included intermediate and felsic ash, crystal and lapilli tuff.
