The Harrison Scheelite occurrence is located 1.5 kilometres north of Lindquist Lake, 49 kilometres southeast of the community of Kemano.

The prospect consists of two aprons of scheelite-bearing talus near the contact between metamorphosed volcanic and sedimentary rocks of the Lower Jurassic Hazelton Group and Middle Jurassic granite, quartz diorite and diorite of the Coast Plutonic Complex.

The talus aprons are centred approximately 250 to 300 metres west of the western end of the Main vein. The scheelite occurs with quartz in narrow veins and stringers in diorite and the altered volcanic and sedimentary rocks. The main apron of anomalous talus has a sinuous northwest trend and covers an area measuring 485 metres long by an average of approximately 50 metres wide. Systematic sampling of talus from the area yielded an average of 0.34 per cent tungstic oxide (WO3) (Geological Survey of Canada Memoir 299). A 40-metre-long trench was excavated through the talus to bedrock. Bedrock samples collected from the western part of the trench averaged 0.84 tungstic oxide over 18 metres and bedrock samples collected from the eastern part of the trench averaged 1.55 tungstic oxide over 22 metres (Geological Survey of Canada Memoir 299). Sampling of the second, smaller apron of talus produced modest results.

Drilling and surface exploration determined that tungsten mineralization (WO3) occurs in three settings: 1) in chlorite, epidote and/or silica-altered sedimentary rocks structurally beneath the thrust fault that forms the footwall of the contact zone, 2) in crosscutting quartz veins and stockwork zones along with elevated levels of lead, sliver and bismuth, and 3) in discrete quartz veins with high concentrations of silver and tellurium. Typically, WO3 occurs in the absence of gold, silver and tellurium.

Minor pyrite and chalcopyrite mineralization have also been reported.

Unclassified reserves are 21,100 tons per vertical foot at a stated grade of 0.35 per cent tungsten trioxide (WO3) (conversion to tungsten using the factor 1.2611). These reserves are based on loose material from a talus slide in Tweedsmuir Provincial Park (Prospectus - Deer Horn Mining Ltd. April 21, 1954, P.E. Young, March 12, 1954).

In 2011, prospecting, trenching and limited diamond drilling also confirmed the presence of important concentrations of scheelite (tungsten) mineralization on the property. The elevated levels of tungsten occur in the vicinity of the historic Harrison Scheelite mineral occurrence and locally in drill core over an east-west distance of at least 550 metres. The mineralization appears to be particularly concentrated in altered sedimentary rocks in the footwall of the regional thrust (and Contact zone).

In 1943, tungsten in the form of scheelite was discovered in dioritic and volcanic talus. Six claims were staked at this time (see also Lindquist showing, 093E 019). Gold-bearing telluride veins were discovered the following year, with additional ground being staked. From 1944 to 1946, Pioneer Gold Mines Limited conducted surface trenching and diamond drilling (3900 metres) on the property. In 1950, the property was sold to Deer Horn Mines Limited. Over the next two years a 12-kilometre-long road from Whitesail Lake to the adit portal and a program of bulk sampling were completed on the property. The property was explored again in the early 1980s as the Whitesail, or Lindquist Lake Telluride, project.

In 2011, Deer Horn Metals Inc. completed an exploration program of trenching and diamond drilling on the Deer Horn property. Six of the 55 drillholes targeted the Harrison Scheelite prospect following a limited prospecting and excavator trenching program. The drillholes completed here were DH11-134 to 139. Highlights of this program include Trench 2, which yielded 143 grams per tonne silver, 35 grams per tonne tellurium and 1.665 per cent tungsten over a 2-metre interval, drillhole DH11-134, which intersected 0.25 metre grading 3.1 grams per tonne gold, 276 grams per tonne silver, and 157 grams per tonne tellurium, and drillhole DH11-137 which intersected 0.35 metre grading 0.71 per cent tungsten (Press Release - Deer Horn Metals Inc., November 14, 2011).
