The SOUTH GRID tungsten prospect is located in the southern region of the Fox property, 1 kilometre south of a west-flowing segment of Deception Creek, about 3 kilometres northeast of No Name Lakes and 69 kilometres northeast of 100 Mile House.

The skarn mineralization is hosted in metasedimentary rocks of the Proterozoic-Paleozoic Snowshoe Group, along the south margin of a granitic pluton informally referred to as the Deception Stock. The sparse bedrock exposure in the vicinity of the Fox showings includes skarn, calc-silicate schist, quartz-biotite schist and quartzite, locally cut by aplitic, pegmatitic and granitic dikes. Layering and schistosity show gentle to moderate dips to the southwest.

Two main mineralized areas are identified on the Fox Property. 1) The first area discovered with wide spread tungsten occurs at the Nightcrawler-Discovery zones (Fox-South area), adjacent the south flank of the Deception stock. This area includes the eastern extension of the Nightcrawler, termed the Creek Zone and the South Grid and P-Ag zones, south of the Fox (Discovery) prospect. 2) The second area is on Deception Mountain (Fox-North area) including, from south to north the 708, BN, RC (Ridley Creek) and BK Zones on its eastern side and the Fox North and NW Deception zones on the upper north flanks of the mountain.

At the South Grid, approximately 1 kilometre south of the Discovery zone, a machine trench cleared off an 8 metre long by 0.60 metre wide portion of surface outcrop and grab samples collected at two metre intervals returned 0.22 to 0.54 per cent tungsten tri-oxide (Desautels, P. (2017-03-10): NI 43-101 Resource Update for the RC Zone and Maiden Resource Estimate for the BN Zone of the Fox Tungsten Project). The three-hole drill program at the South Grid zone in 2016 confirmed the favorable calc-silicate zones up to 16.0 metres in thickness, with dips 25 to 35 degrees southwest. Assays include 2.0 metres of 0.15 per cent tungsten tri-oxide starting at 2.0 metres in drill hole F16-27 and 1.5 metres of 0.13 tungsten tri-oxide in drill hole F16-28. All holes were lost at shallow depths due to deep, sinking mud conditions (Assessment Report 36792).

A four-hole drill program at the South Grid zone in 2017 revealed a series of calc-silicate bands, from less than one centimetre to several metres thick, interbedded with quartz-biotite garnet schist. Calc-silicate beds consist of pale to dark red garnet, pale to dark green pyroxene, amphibole, quartz and some pyrrhotite. Wide intervals of low-grade tungsten mineralization were observed in drill core and locally high-grade scheelite occurs. Results yielded up to 0.496 per cent tungsten tri-oxide over 3.07 metres in hole F17-61 (Assessment Report 37368; Desautels, P. (2018-02-27): NI 43-101 Resource Update for the RC and BN Zones and Maiden Resource Estimate for the BK Zone of the Fox Tungsten Project). This is considered a discovery of potentially economic grade in this new, road accessible target that is underlain by a 1.5 km by 500 metre tungsten in soil anomaly.

WORK HISTORY

The area north of the showings was covered by a geological and geochemical exploration program in 1982, subsequent to a regional geochemical survey that identified anomalous tungsten concentrations in heavy mineral samples in the Deception Creek drainage system (Assessment Report 10641). The Deception Stock, comprising garnet-bearing muscovite-biotite granite, was recognized at this time, but not mapped in detail, and soil samples from around the eastern and northern margins of the stock were found to be slightly anomalous in tungsten. Dave and Catherine Ridley located the southern contact of the Deception Stock and adjacent skarn alteration in 1997, while prospecting along the newly constructed 7200 logging road. Further prospecting in 1999 led to the discovery of molybdenum-bearing skarn and initial staking of the Fox mineral claims (Assessment Report 26275). Subsequent work included grid construction, soil geochemical surveys, a ground magnetometer and VLF-EM geophysical survey, and additional prospecting and claim staking (Assessment Reports 26611, 26943).

In 2001, Starcore Resources Ltd. optioned the Fox 1-6 claims, expanded the claim boundary and identified additional tungsten soil anomalies called the South Grid.

The property was optioned to Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. in December 2004 and an exploration program comprising grid layout, soil and rock geochemical sampling, prospecting and geological mapping was carried out in 2005. This program led to the discovery of the Nightcrawler tungsten zone, 1 km east of the Discovery molybdenum zone (Assessment Report 27886). Between 2006 and 2011, Happy Creek Minerals completed various exploration programs on the Fox property and associated occurrences. This work included trenching and NQ diamond drilling programs in the Discovery-Nightcrawler area in 2007 and 2010, totalling 4,486 metres over 16 holes (Assessment Reports 30008, 32054).

During 2012 through 2014, Happy Creek Minerals continued programs of geological mapping and drilling on the Fox property, primarily on the RC (Riley Creek MINFILE 093A 259) zone and also the BN (Blann MINFILE 093A 260) zone. Targeted petrographic work commenced in 2014 (Assessment Reports 33695, 34642, 35342). In 2015, Happy Creek Minerals completed a program of airborne magnetic and radiometric surveys, soil sampling, prospecting and geological mapping on the Fox property. At this time, a soil geochemical survey at the South Grid expanded the size of the earlier anomaly and positive tungsten in soil occurs in an area 1.25 kilometres by 500 metres. Mapping and prospecting, including eight diamond drill holes, totalling 1579 metres, were also completed on the Creek zone near the east end of the Nightcrawler (MINFILE 093A 258) showing (Assessment Report 35963).

In 2016, Happy Creek Minerals completed a program of trail construction, soil sampling, surface chip and channel sampling in 11 trenches, rock sampling, geological mapping and 28 diamond drill holes, totalling 2330 metres, on the BN, BK and RC zones (Fox-North mineralized area) and the South Grid. Three holes F16-26, F16-27 and F16-28, were drilled at the South Grid. Trenching was also accomplished at Ridley Creek, BK and South Grid zones (Assessment Report 36792). In 2017, Happy Creek Minerals completed a further 66 diamond drill holes, totalling 6983 metres, at the BN, Ridley Creek, Creek and South Grid zones along with prospecting, geological mapping and hand trenching (Assessment Report 37368).

From 2018 to 2020, Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. continued mostly grass-roots exploration across their Fox property and adjacent mineral tenures throughout 2018 to 2020.

In 2021, programs included prospecting, mapping, rock, silt and soil sampling at the Nightcrawler zone. In addition, 2,052.7 metres in twelve NQ diamond drill holes were completed at the Nightcrawler zone. During 2022, field investigations were focused on the Deception stock and in the far-south end of the property at the P-Ag zone (Assessment Report 40847).

Happy Creek Minerals' exploration programs in 2022 through 2025 focused on areas on the Fox property and adjacent mineral tenures, other than the Discovery-Nightcrawler trend.
