The FOX NORTH occurrence is located approximately 800 metres northeast of the peak of Deception Mountain, on the Fox property, 75 kilometres northeast of 100 Mile House.

Two main mineralized areas are identified on the Fox Property. The first area discovered with wide spread tungsten occurs at the Nightcrawler-Discovery zones (Fox-South area), adjacent the south flank of the Deception stock. This area includes the eastern extension of the Nightcrawler, termed the Creek Zone and the South Grid zone, south of the Fox (Discovery) prospect. The second area is on Deception Mountain (Fox-North area) including, from south to north the 708, BN, RC (Ridley Creek) and BK Zones on its eastern side and the Fox North and NW Deception zones on the upper north flanks of the mountain.

The area is underlain by metasedimentary rocks of the Proterozoic-Paleozoic Snowshoe Group, along the south margin of a granitic pluton informally referred to as the Deception stock.

Locally, the Fox North zone consists of calc-silicate up to 1-2 metres thick occurring within a gentle fold over a distance of approximately 15 metres, before dipping beneath schist to the north and south. An alaskite dike cuts the calc-silicate unit and there is quartz veining and strong garnet and pyroxene development in the calc-silicate. Fine and coarse-grained scheelite reflects two pulses of mineralization and occurs with trace to moderate pyrrhotite.

Initial prospecting in 2015 resulted in rock samples returning up to 0.29 per cent tungsten tri-oxide (talus boulder). Geochemical analyses suggest tungsten is moderately to strongly correlated with antimony, indium, tin and gallium, respectively and silver is strongly correlated with bismuth and sulphur. In 2023, talus rock sample 307629 returned 0.90 per cent tungsten tri-oxide and outcrop sample 307626, from the same area, returned 0.56 per cent tungsten tri-oxide over 0.3 metres.

In early 2018, Happy Creek Minerals released an updated mineral resource estimate, using a greater than 0.175 per cent tungsten tri-oxide cut-off grade, with a total indicated resource for the RC (MINFILE 093A 259) zone of 582,400 tonnes grading 0.826 per cent tungsten tri-oxide and a total inferred resource for the RC, BN and BK zones of 565,400 tonnes grading 1.231 per cent tungsten tri-oxide. (Desautels, P. (2018-02-27): NI 43-101 Resource Update for the RC and BN Zones and Maiden Resource Estimate for the BK Zone of the Fox Tungsten Project). This resource extends from 500 to 2500 metres south-southeast of the Fox North showing.

WORK HISTORY

The area has been explored in conjunction with the Fox occurrence (MINFILE 093A 211). The Fox property was optioned by Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. in December 2004, and exploration programs comprising grid layout, soil and rock geochemical sampling, prospecting, geological mapping, trenching, bulk sampling and diamond drilling have been successful to date (2025). Work on the Fox-North mineralized area of Deception Mountain has been ongoing since 2005.

The first documented prospecting at the Fox North zone was in 2015 (Assessment Report 35963) and UV lamping and rock sampling were also carried out in 2023 (Assessment Report 41811). In 2023, geology, UV lamping and rock sampling was completed at the Fox North zone, located at the north end of Deception Mountain, 700 metres northwest and 250 metres higher in elevation than the BK zone (Assessment Report 41811).
