The SC 2 (North Dome) occurrence is located in the northern headwaters of Sprague Creek, approximately 8.3 kilometres southwest of the southwestern end of North Barriere Lake.

The area is underlain by a distinctive, relatively fresh, north-trending sequence of rhyolite lavas and felsic tuffs with interfingering lenses of argillite and chert. The felsic volcanics contain two intrusive/extrusive flow domes located approximately 2 kilometres apart. The domes consist of relatively coarse felsic breccia, debris flows and porphyritic felsic flows. The rocks belong to the Devonian to Permian Fennell Assemblage.

Locally, a rhyolite dome structure with silicified, albitized and sericitized quartz feldspar porphyritic rhyolite contains extensive quartz-pyrite veins and stockworks. Minor poddy galena mineralization occurs in some quartz veins. Hematite alteration is also reported.

In 1986, two drillholes (Bar-1 and Bar-2) yielded intercepts of 0.59 gram per tonne gold over 1.0 metre and 0.40 gram per tonne gold over 0.2 metre, respectively (Assessment Report 15856).

In 2011, grab samples (Sulphide #2) over 2.0 metres yielded 3.670 grams per tonne gold, whereas four other grab samples from a hematite-coated fine-grained rock exposed along a logging road yielded from 0.25 to 0.67 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 33044).

In 2013, three grab samples (13CCTK-016, 13CCTK-017 and 13CCMK-14) yielded from 1.100 to 1.221 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 34307).

In 2014, grab samples yielded up to 0.779 gram per tonne gold (Sample 13CCKM117; Assessment Report 34982).

In 1981, Craigmont Mines examined the area as the CH claims and completed a ground geophysical survey. During 1984 through 1986, Corporation Falconbridge Copper conducted programs of geological mapping, rock and soil sampling and four diamond drill holes, totalling 518.9 metres, on the area as the Anna and SC group of claims.

In 1987, Minnova Inc. completed eight diamond drill holes, totalling 829.3 metres, and a 36.5 line-kilometre ground electromagnetic survey on the area as the SC and Anna claims. Also, at this time Minnova completed a program of rock sampling, geological mapping and a 15.0 line-kilometre ground electromagnetic survey on the area immediately southeast as the FY 2 claim.

In 1994, the KB claims were staked over part of the expired SC claims and a program of soil and rock sampling and geological mapping was carried out by Eighty-Eight Resources Ltd.

In 2010 and 2011, Shenul Capital Inc. completed programs of rock and soil sampling, geological mapping, ground geophysical surveys on the area as part of the Chu Chua property. In 2013 and 2014, First American Gold Corp. completed programs of rock and soil sampling, prospecting and geological mapping on the area.
