The DT WEST showing is located approximately 2 kilometres west of the Day Trip prospect (Minfile 092N 096), 9 kilometres west of the south end Tatlayoko Lake, 49 kilometres south of the community of Tatla Lake on Highway 20, and 182 kilometres southwest of Williams Lake, B.C.
The DT West occurrence is an auriferous quartz-arsenopyrite vein in siltstone belonging to the Lower Cretaceous Cloud Drifter Formation. As is common in most of the regional area, the siltstone is likely intruded by a biotite monzonite intrusion of the Late Cretaceous to Paleocene Bendor Suite. The showing is exposed in a hand trench situated on flat to low angled slopes and has been traced along a 30 metre strike length.
The highlight of sampling the auriferous quartz-arsenopyrite showing in siltstone outcrop during the 2022 exploration season was sample number C0135804, which returned values of 49.78 grams per tonne gold, 51.47 grams per tonne silver, 0.13 per cent copper in addition to and anomalous arsenic, bismuth, and tellurium. Results were from a 1.5 metre channel sample.
The DT West showing was discovered in 2022 by Kingfisher Metals Corp. while conducting regional exploration on their large Goldrange property. Prospecting, hand trenching and the collection of 6 rock samples led to the discovery of quartz-arsenopyrite veining exposed by hand trenches along a 30 metre strike length approximately 2 kilometres west of the Day Trip prospect (Assessment Report 41643). In addition, structural interpretations were made from airborne data collected in 2020 over the large Goldrange project area.
