The Klin showing is located by a gold occurrence map symbol, 1 kilometre north of Klinaklini River, 14.3 kilometres west of Kleena Kleene (Geological Survey of Canada Map 5-1968). No geological description of the Klin occurrence is available, but the showing is shown to be located about 250 metres southeast of a northeast-striking fault contact with an aplitic quartz monzodiorite intrusion on the northeastern margin of the Jurassic to Tertiary Coast Plutonic Complex (Geological Survey of Canada Map 5-1968).
The region of the Klin showing is underlain by Lower Cretaceous to Upper Cretaceous coarse clastic sedimentary rocks of the Silverquick Formation, volcanic rocks of the Upper Cretaceous Powell Formation, Lower Cretaceous sandstone of the Cloud Drifter Formation, and Upper Triassic volcaniclastic rocks of the Mosely Formation. These and other formations have been intruded by Late Cretaceous to Paleocene granodiorite of the Bendor Suite.
