A deposit of white, coarse-grained limestone within granitic rocks of the Tertiary-Jurassic Coast Plutonic Complex outcrops on the south shore of Owikeno Lake, 0.8 kilometres east of the fish hatchery and continues southwesterly up the mountain side. The limestone is cut by a few mafic dykes an contains some brown mica. A second large deposit of high calcium limestone is reported to occur 3.2 kilometres east of here.
