The DB occurrence is located at an elevation of approximately 330 metres on an east-facing slope, west of the Benson River and approximately 3.4 kilometres northeast of Merry Widow Mountain.
Regionally, the area is underlain by diabase and basaltic intrusive rocks of the Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic Bonanza Group, limestone of the Upper Triassic Quatsino Formation (Vancouver Group) and limestone, mudstone and siltstone of the Upper Triassic Parson Bay Formation (Vancouver Group). Gabbro to quartz diorite of the Lower to Middle Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite are exposed to the west.
Locally, a gossanous fault structure in limestone, exposed along a roadcut, hosts copper, cobalt, silver and gold values.
In 2020, a grab sample (CM X545552) assayed 3.59 grams per tonne gold, 71.9 grams per tonne silver, 12.05 per cent copper and 0.042 per cent cobalt (Assessment Report 39420).
