The Friendly 5-6 occurrence is exposed on a logging road on the west side of Friendly Creek, at approximately 770 metres elevation.
The area is underlain by andesites and basalts, with minor interbedded limestone of the Upper Triassic Karmutsen Formation (Vancouver Group). Granodiorite of the Upper Jurassic Nimpkish batholith, which is part of the Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite, intrudes the Karmutsen Formation volcanics. Locally, the granodiorite is epidote altered.
Locally, a chloritic andesite hosts quartz-carbonate veinlets and disseminated chalcopyrite. In 2007, rock sampling yielded up to 0.5 per cent copper and 29 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 30120).
