The Friendly 4 occurrence is located on the west side of Friendly Creek, at an elevation of 810 metres.
The area is underlain by andesites and basalts, with minor inter-bedded limestone of the Upper Triassic Karmutsen Formation (Vancouver Group). Granodiorite of the Upper Jurassic Nimpkish batholith, which is part of the Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite, intrudes the Karmutsen Formation volcanics. Locally, the granodiorite is epidote altered.
Locally, a coarse layered, intensely epidotized, volcanic hosts lenses of chalcopyrite and magnetite. The zone is exposed over 3 metres vertically and strikes 280 degrees with an 80-degree dip to the north.
In 2007, a lone rock sample assayed 1.5 per cent copper and 7.4 grams per tonne silver (Rock Sample 4; Assessment Report 30120).
