The Gold Tiger (BRS 72C) occurrence is located on an east facing ridge overlooking Friendly Creek, at an elevation of approximately 820 metres.
The area is underlain by andesites and basalts, with minor inter-bedded limestone of the Upper Triassic Karmutsen Formation (Vancouver Group). Granodiorite of the Upper Jurassic Nimpkish batholith, which is part of the Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite, intrudes the Karmutsen Formation volcanics. Locally, the granodiorite is epidote altered.
Locally, scattered outcrops of chloritic, epidotic and skarn altered andesites and basalts host stratabound lenses of massive magnetite and disseminated chalcopyrite over a distance of approximately 100 metres.
In 2008, rock samples BRS72C-2 through BRS72C-6 yielded from 1.00 to 1.26 per cent copper, 0.035 to 1.95 per cent zinc, 2.2 to 68.5 grams per tonne silver and 0.058 to 0.516 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 30446). In 2010, rock samples yielded up to 0.42 gram per tonne gold, 31.3 grams per tonne silver and 0.958 per cent copper (Assessment Report 31944).
