The Copper Zone occurrence is located near the summit of an unnamed hill overlooking Restless Bight.

The area is underlain by oxidized (rusted) and silicified interbedded volcaniclastic and sedimentary units that includes lithic and crystal lithic tuff, pyroclastic volcanic breccias and sandstone to mudstone units. Malachite alteration occurs in the main showing area.

In 2010, a rock chip sample of the showing assayed 0.711 per cent copper (Assessment Report 32453).

In 1985 and 1986, Acorn Resources completed a program of diamond drilling. During 2009 Through 2012, the area was explored as the Lawnpoint property by Homegold Resources and included programs of prospecting, geological mapping and geochemical soil sampling. Historical underground workings and trenching dating to the early 1900’s or earlier are also reported.
