The Sullivan's Ridge occurrence is located approximately 2.5 kilometres west of the confluence of Roberts and Spius creeks and 20 kilometres west of Merritt.

Regionally, the area is underlain by andesitic volcanic rocks of the Lower Cretaceous Spences Bridge Group. This is the upper sequence of the Spences Bridge Group, which is a broad, northwest-trending, thick sequence of gently folded volcanics with lesser sediments, dipping shallowly to the northeast.

Locally, the main zone of mineralization, Sullivan Ridge, contains strong silica and carbonate (ankerite) alteration of andesitic breccias. This zone hosts a north-trending mineralized quartz vein area, 1-2 metres wide, that extends for 80 metres. These veins are interpreted to be a low sulphidation epithermal gold environment based on locally vuggy and chalcedonic quartz, abundant ankerite alteration, and a strong arsenic, antimony and mercury association (Assessment Report 32045).

In 2005, three contiguous channel samples from trench SRT05-5 at the Sullivan Ridge zone assayed an average of 7.24 grams per tonne gold over a true width of 1.8 metres, including 14.94 grams per tonne gold over 0.6 metre, whereas another trench (SRT05-4) located approximately 500 metres to the south-southwest of SRT05-5, yielded 0.4069 gram per tonne gold and 74.8 grams per tonne silver over 0.47 metre (Assessment Report 28006).

In 2010, rock samples from the Sullivan Ridge zone assayed up to 5.3802 grams per tonne gold (SampleMT10 1; Assessment Report 32045).

In 2014, two NQ-diameter drillholes (559.31 metres) were drilled at the Sullivan Ridge zone. All mineralization consisted of pyrite present in veins and disseminated throughout the rock, with drillhole ME-14-001 yielding up to 0.439 gram per tonne gold over 0.50 metre and 0.246 gram per tonne gold over 0.49 metre (Assessment Report 35586).

Another quartz-veined zone, referred to as the West zone, is located 1.5 kilometres to the west of the Sullivan Ridge zone. In 2005 sampling of the quartz vein material from trench WZT04-3 in the west zone yielded up to 0.354 gram per tonne gold over 0.80 metre (sample R297; Assessment Report 28006). In 2010 a rock sample from the region (MT10-8) assayed 0.1762 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 32045).

A third area of mineralization, located approximately 2.5 kilometres southwest of the Sullivan Ridge zone and referred to as the Discovery Hill zone, contains patchy intense hematitic silica replacement-type mineralization within brecciated andesite. In 2005, float samples from this zone yielded gold values between 0.309 and 7.916 grams per tonne; however, the outcrop source has not been confirmed (Assessment Report 28006).

In 2005, Almaden Minerals Ltd. completed a program of rock and soil sampling, geological mapping and 38.5 metres of trenching on the area as the Sullivan Ridge property. In 2010, Almaden Minerals Ltd. contracted Sunburst Explorations Inc. to run a further program of rock and soil sampling and a 19.7 line-kilometre induced polarization survey. In 2014, Almaden Minerals Ltd. completed two NQ diamond drill holes, totalling 559.31 metres.
