The Chris occurrence is located at an elevation of approximately 1600 metres, west of Skuhost Creek and approximately 2.5 kilometres east- northeast of the east end of Pimainus Lake.
The area is underlain by Bethsaida phase quartz diorites and granodiorites of the Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic Guichon Creek Batholith.
Trenches expose local strongly sheared, altered, weathered granodiorite with some quartz-sericite veins and traces of bornite. Argillic material was reported in faults.
