The Sunshine Northeast occurrence is located at an elevation of approximately 1490 metres on a northeast-facing slope, south of Rey Creek and approximately 1.4 kilometres northwest of Eve Lake.
The area is underlain by intermediate volcaniclastic and flow rocks of the Upper Triassic Nicola Group, which are intruded by Lower Jurassic granitic batholiths several kilometres to the east and west.
Locally, a quartz matrix supported breccia zone, similar to the nearby Sunshine (Zone 3; MINFILE 092ISE129) occurrence, has been identified. Sparse to disseminated galena, pyrite and sphalerite are hosted in the breccia zone. A limestone unit is reported close to the breccia zone.
In 2013, seven samples (RP-3a through -3g) yielded from trace to greater than 1 per cent lead, 0.02 to greater than 1 per cent zinc, 0.3 to 30.7 grams per tonne silver and trace to 0.144 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 34441).
