The PL occurrence is situated southeast of Winney Creek, north of the Nicola River and 14 kilometres northwest of Merritt.
The property lies near the southeast perimeter of the Lower Jurassic Guichon Creek Batholith, which intrudes Upper Triassic Nicola Group volcanic and sedimentary rocks. To the east, Upper Cretaceous Kingsvale Group volcanic flow rocks unconformably overlie the Nicola Group. The PL property is underlain by quartz diorite mapped as the pre-Guichon Coyle stock (Map 30). Approximately 1000 metres to the north it intrudes mixed volcanic and sedimentary Nicola Group rocks. The stock is cut by dikes and by oxidized north and northwest-trending faults.
A highly sheared zone is iron- and copper-stained. Copper sulphides and magnetite are evident.
In 2015, the PL occurrence was covered by the Promontory Hills property owned by Guy and Christopher Delorme. That year, a 10.7 kilometre magnetometer survey was carried out over two claims covering the PL and Sid (MINFILE 092ISE137) occurrences.
