The West occurrence is located at an elevation of approximately 1400 metres on a west-southwest–facing slope, north of Chartrand Creek and approximately 7 kilometres southwest of Dominic Lake.
The area is underlain by andesitic volcanic rocks of the Upper Triassic (Central Volcanic Facies) Nicola Group.
Locally, oxidized and carbonate-altered andesitic rocks host narrow quartz and calcite veinlets and breccias. The zone has been traced along a roadcut for approximately 46 metres.
In 2006, a grab sample (26057) assayed 0.152 per cent copper, 3.7 grams per tonne silver and 1.00 per cent mercury (Assessment Report 28815).
