The Rag (Central Monzonite zone) occurrence is located on the north west side of a small ridge separating Durand and Dominic lakes, approximately 1.3 kilometres south of Small Dairy Lake in the Dairy Lakes.

The area is underlain by Upper Triassic Nicola Group volcanic rocks consisting mainly of andesitic volcanic flows and fragments intruded by a Triassic composite diorite-monzonite intrusion (Durand Lake stock).

The intrusion is widely mineralized with chalcopyrite and occurs with variable amounts of magnetite and pyrite. Low-grade, disseminated chalcopyrite and bornite are associated with varying degrees of chlorite, epidote, carbonate and sericite alteration in a monzonite core of the Durand Lake stock. Locally, limited enriched zones of chalcopyrite, pyrite, magnetite and some pyrrhotite occur in volcanics near the intrusive contact. Diamond drilling and trenching has identified mineralization in the monzonite core over a length of approximately 1 kilometre along a northeast-southwest trend.

In 1990, diamond drilling yielded up to 0.207 per cent copper and 0.16 gram per tonne gold over 9.2 metres in hole P90-2, and hole P90-5 yielded 1.75 grams per tonne gold over 39.6 metres, including 7.4 grams per tonne gold over 3-metres (Assessment Report 20648). In 1997, a diamond drill hole (97-08) yielded 0.25 per cent copper and 0.1 gram per tonne gold over 31 metres (Assessment Report 25124).

In 2013, three select samples (1709453, 1709454 and 1717043) of plagioclase porphyritic monzonite with weak potassic feldspar alteration hosting up to 20 per cent disseminated to clotty pyrite, chalcopyrite and bornite with hematite, malachite and limonite fracture coatings assayed up to 0.43 gram per tonne gold and 1.32 per cent copper (Assessment Report 34777). These were taken approximately 400 metres to the north west of the previous drill holes. The following year, samples from the same area yielded up to 1.22 per cent copper and 0.33 gram per tonne gold, while sampling (1717194) on a small ridge to the south yielded up to 0.62 per cent copper and 0.73 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 35439).

A 1988 assessment report submitted by Cominco Ltd. estimates the intrusion to contain 185 million tonnes of 0.05 per cent copper based on percussion and diamond drilling (Assessment Report 17669). Gold values are also reported with the copper mineralization, with drill holes yielding up 0.267 gram per tonne gold over 55 metres, including 0.50 gram per tonne gold over 18 metres (Assessment Report 17669).

During 1965 through 1967, Noranda Exploration completed programs of geological mapping, soil sampling and minor trenching on the area as the G.B. claims. Cominco Ltd. staked the Rag claims in 1969 to cover the northern and western part of an aeromagnetic anomaly associated with a Triassic composite diorite-monzonite intrusion (Durand Lake stock). Extensive geological and geophysical programs were conducted during 1969 through 1972 and outlined disseminated sulphide zones (5 to 8 per cent pyrite) along the west-southwest and east-northeast flanks of the intrusion. These peripheral areas have been covered by induced polarization and magnetic surveys and a limited amount of percussion drilling. In 1970, induced polarization and ground magnetometer surveys and line cutting totalling 29 line- kilometres were run over the Rag group of claims on behalf of Cominco Ltd. In 1972, line cutting and an induced polarization survey totalling 26 line- kilometres were completed over the Rag claim group on behalf of Cominco Ltd. In 1988, Teck completed a program of soil and rock sampling and ground geophysical surveys on the area as the GS claims. In 1988, Cominco Ltd. conducted soil sampling (619 samples) over the Rag claims. In 1989, Teck Corporation entered into a joint venture agreement with Cominco Ltd. covering Teck- and Cominco-owned claims in the Greenstone Mountain area. During the spring and summer of 1990, Teck conducted soil sampling (500 samples), magnetometer (38 kilometres) and VLF-EM (38 kilometres) surveys over previously untested portions of the Rag claims. In 1990, a percussion drilling program of nine holes totalling 716 metres, completed on behalf of Teck Corporation, tested two gold-copper soil geochemical anomalies on the Rag claims. In 1989, D.L. Cooke and R.U. Bruaset began assembling ground (Rabbit claims) in the Dominic and Durand lakes area and this continued, with some interruptions, until 1996. The Rabbit claims cover the Bruce (MINFILE 092INE114), Rag 73 (MINFILE 092INE130) and Rag (MINFILE 092INE045) occurrences. Bruaset and Cooke carried out systematic geological mapping and a soil geochemical survey (135 samples) directed at gold beginning in 1990 in the area of the Rag 73 and Rabbit (MINFILE 092INE147) occurrences. In 1993, a compilation map was completed based on the analysis for gold of 2900 soil samples form the Dairy to Dominic lakes area. This compilation, which covered most of the area of current Rabbit claims, suggested high gold potential. In 1995, ProAm Explorations Corporation extended the 1990 gold soil anomaly, and in the same year, the entire ProAm Rabbit group of claims was surveyed by enzyme leach selective extraction. In 1996, a program of rock and soil sampling and a 7.3 line-kilometre induced polarization survey were completed. In 1997 and 1998, ProAm Explorations Corporation completed nine trenches totalling 40 metres and took 80 outer bark samples for biogeochemistry testing in the vicinity of the original Bruce (MINFILE 092INE114) occurrence. The trenching confirmed the presence of copper mineralization and yielded elevated gold values. Also, in 1997 ProAm conducted a diamond drilling program over the original Rag 73 occurrence area and discovered the Rabbit occurrence. A total of 21 holes, totalling 3338 metres, were drilled and 1398 samples were collected and analyzed. In 2003 and 2004, Auterra Ventures conducted a program of trenching, geochemical sampling and ground geophysical surveys on the area as the Rabbit North property. In 2010, a program of rock and soil sampling and geological mapping was completed.

During 2013 through 2015, Tower Resources completed programs of rock sampling, geological mapping and airborne and ground geophysical surveys on the area as the Rabbit North property.
