The Slesse Creek occurrence is located on Canyon Creek, a southwest flowing tributary of Slesse Creek, to the southwest of Slesse Mountain.

The area is underlain mainly by the Devonian to Permian Chilliwack Group, consisting of mafic volcanic rocks and metamorphosed argillaceous rocks. Proterozoic and Paleozoic amphibolitic rocks of the Yellow Aster Complex occur as fault slices in contact with Chilliwack Group rock on the west, and intrusive rocks of the Oligocene Chilliwack Batholith, on the east.

Locally, small pyritized quartz veins carrying gold values occur in granodiorite and diorite. In 1988, a float sample (8312038) from the creek containing molybdenite assayed 0.208 per cent molybdenum (Assessment Report 18237). In 2008, a sample (08KRP002) assayed 0.27 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 30147).

In 1929, it was reported that two short adits were driven on the showings. In 1978, Aquarius Resources completed a soil sampling program on the area as the Sles 1 claim. In 1987 and 1988, the area was prospected and sampled as the Roy claims. In 2005, the area was prospected as the Slesse Creek property. In early 2008, the area was prospected as the Silesia 1-2 claims. During 2008 through 2012, Wedge Resources completed programs of rock, soil and silt sampling and a 0.6 line-kilometre ground magnetic survey on the area.
