The Uppy-1 showing is located on the east side of Crater Mountain, approximately 12.5 kilometres south west of Keremeos. The claims were staked and prospected in 2007 by Murray Halliday.

The area is underlain by the Apex Mountain Complex hosting argillite, chert, mafic volcanics, minor carbonate and ultramafic rocks.

Locally, a substantial quartz vein traverses across the mid-section of the property. Hand trenching and sampling of the vein has returned values up to 0.72 gram per tonne gold, 54 grams per tonne silver, 84 parts per million cadmium, 353 parts per million chrome, 6506 parts per million lead and 2228 parts per million zinc (Assessment Report 29928).
