The Yale Gold showing is located with a fault splay of the Fraser Fault system. Host rocks are highly deformed quartz-mica schist and orthogneiss of the Cretaceous-Tertiary Custer Gneiss. A stockwork associated with a rhyolite "porphyry" dike has caused extensive potassic (Kspar) alteration of surrounding orthogneiss. The stockwork has few sulphides present and gold grades are low - in the 1.02 grams per tonne.
