The Roger 2 showing is located 0.7 kilometre west of Pettigrew Creek and 30.5 kilometres southwest of Hedley.

The showing occurs in variably pyritic siliceous argillite with minor interbedded tuff and limestone of the Upper Triassic Hedley Formation (Nicola Group). These beds strike north, dip approximately 80 degrees east, and are cut by north-striking mafic sills or dikes of the Late Triassic Hedley Intrusions that contain up to 5 per cent disseminated pyrite.

Two zones of garnet skarn, up to 40 metres long and 8 metres wide, occur in limestone along the contact with the mafic dikes. In 1985, a sample of calcium silicate rock rich in iron garnet assayed 1.18 per cent zinc, 3.5 grams per tonne silver and 0.06 per cent copper, and a second sample of metasomatically altered tuffaceous argillite taken adjacent to a zone of skarn alteration assayed 0.74 per cent zinc, 9.1 grams per tonne silver and 0.12 per cent copper (Assessment Report 13819). Sixty-nine rock samples were collected from various areas of the property during a 1998 work program by G.F. Crooker. The most significant mineralization is at the Roger showing, where two rubbly outcrops of calc-silicate skarn, limestone and calcite give strongly anomalous lead and zinc values and weakly anomalous copper and silver values. The mineralization has been traced over a strike length of 100 metres, with the zone open to the north and south where it is covered by overburden. The showing is spatially related to a 25-metre wide dike of the Hedley Intrusions that outcrops 25 to 50 metres east of the showing; narrow dikes also occur closer to the showing.

Mineralization consists of varying concentrations of pyrite, sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite and malachite as disseminations and along fractures with fine-grained, brown garnets in an indistinct grey and green, calc-silicate groundmass. A select sample of the material assayed 1.57 per cent zinc, 760 parts per million lead, 879 parts per million copper and 8.8 grams per tonne silver. A number of other samples gave weakly to strongly anomalous zinc, lead, copper and silver values. Gold is not anomalous in any of the samples (Assessment Report 25685).

Golden Cadillac Resources Ltd. established a grid over the area during 1983 and 1984 and carried out soil geochemical sampling, magnetic surveying, prospecting and geological mapping. Nine multi-element soil geochemical anomalies (Ag, Pb, Zn, Cu, Au) and a number of north-trending magnetic highs were delineated by the survey. The magnetic highs have been interpreted to be related to the Hedley Intrusions, the most important mineralizing unit within the Hedley Gold Camp.

A 1998 work program by Grant F. Crooker consisted of extending grid lines south of the Golden Cadillac grid area, as well as re-establishing some grid lines on the Golden Cadillac grid area to confirm and relocate their geochemical and geophysical anomalies. Stream sediment sampling, soil geochemical sampling, magnetic and VLF-EM surveying, prospecting and geological mapping were carried out over the property. Multi-element soil geochemical anomalies (Ag, Zn, Pb, Cu, As) were delineated, occurring coincidentally with narrow magnetic highs that have been interpreted as Hedley intrusive dikes. Rock sampling at the Roger showing confirmed the anomalous zinc, lead, copper and zinc values, and extended the mineralization over a strike length of 100 metres.

In 2010, the Lamb 1 (MINFILE 092HSE172) and Roger 2 occurrences were covered by claims held by Velocity Minerals Ltd. During that year, 19 silt samples were collected from various drainages on the claim area. Four of the samples reported anomalous gold values and three samples reported anomalous arsenic values. In 2011, the claims covering the Roger 2 showing area were amalgamated with the Hedley Gold Project property to the north, which was then optioned to Westcan Uranium Corporation. Three 1:10,000 scale base maps of the property were produced during 2011.
