The Sisu 1 occurrence is located on the south east side of Suka Creek, approximately 200 metres north east of its mouth on the Fraser River.
The area is underlain by metamorphic rocks assigned to the Cretaceous and/or Tertiary Custer Gneiss in fault contact with Permian to Jurassic Hozameen Complex sediments to the east.
Locally, a small pyrite stringer is hosted by a 0.25 metre wide quartz vein. In 1981, a sample (No.5) assayed 16.1 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 9577).
Approximately 100 metres to the north east, a siliceous gneiss hosts gold values. In 1980, a 2.0 metre chip sample (3451) assayed 0.41 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 9577).
In 1980 and 1981, the area was prospected and sampled as the Sisu 1-2 claims. During 1990 through 1993, programs of geochemical sampling and geological mapping were completed on the area. During 1996 through 2001, Hillsbar Gold completed programs of geological mapping, geochemical sampling and a 10 line-kilometre ground electromagnetic survey on the area as the Bar-Gold property.
