The Sadim 5 (Hit 1 North) occurrence is located at an elevation of approximately 1450 metres on a south-facing slope, west of Summers Creek and approximately 2 kilometres southeast of Mystery Lake.
The region along Summers Creek is underlain by the Eastern volcanic facies of the Upper Triassic Nicola Group, comprising mafic to intermediate, augite and hornblende porphyritic pyroclastics and flows, and associated alkaline intrusions. The intrusions vary in composition from diorite to monzonite and are thought to be comagmatic with the Nicola Group, ranging in age from Upper Triassic to Lower Jurassic. Much of the copper mineralization and associated alteration frequenting this portion of the Nicola Belt can be attributed to the emplacement of such intrusions.
Locally, trenches have exposed narrow, shear-related quartz veins with pyrite and galena mineralization in clay- and carbonate-altered pyroxene andesite.
In 1991, sampling of two trenches (91-6 and 91-5) yielded 0.710 and 0.380 gram per tonne gold, 7.5 and 68.1 grams per tonne silver with 0.052 and 0.191 per cent lead, respectively, over 2 metres each (Assessment Report 22084).
In 2011, two samples (905917 and 905918) of mineralized quartz vein material, taken from a roadcut located several hundred metres to the south of the occurrence, yielded 2.1 and 1.4 grams per tonne gold with 18.5 and 10.6 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 33024).
