The Golden Lode (East) is located along a logging road-cut approximately 1.3 kilometres north of Trout Creek and 2.75 kilometres west of Camp Creek.
Locally, minor amounts of chalcopyrite and malachite occur in a altered granodiorite of the Middle Jurassic Osprey Lake batholith, near the batholith's northern margin.
In 2011, a select sample (B-06) assayed 0.294 per cent copper and 0.345 gram per tonne gold (Kerr, J.R. (2018-04-04): Technical Report on the Kathleen Mountain Property).
The area has been explored in conjunction with the Golden Lode (MINFILE 092HNE186) occurrence and a property exploration history can be found there.
