The Summit 6 occurrence is located on the south western side of Vedder Mountain, approximately 5 kilometres west of the community of Lindell Beach.

The area is underlain by coarse clastic sedimentary rocks of the Upper Jurassic Kent Formation. To the north, a sequence of lower amphibolite to kyanite grade metamorphic rocks of the Permian Vedder Mountain metamorphic complex are exposed.

Locally, argillites and/or quartzites are reported to host quartz veins with pyrite, arsenopyrite and fluorite.

In 1981, a sample (3K81) assayed 7.13 grams per tonne silver; while another sample (SU-1-81) yielded 0.25 per cent chromium and 0.2 per cent nickel (Assessment Report 10192). No description of the samples was given. In 1986, a sample (CH No 14-86-SW) from a quartz vein assayed 0.12 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 14991).

During 1981 through 1988, the area was prospected and sampled as the Summit claims.
