The B and T occurrence is described as being located approximately 1.6 kilometres north of the community of Deroche.
The area is underlain by Lower and Middle Jurassic Harrison Lake Formation andesites, andesite porphyry, andesite breccia and basalt. Felsic volcanics and intrusions of Tertiary quartz diorite are also reported in this area.
Locally, a 15 to 105 centimetre wide quartz vein, striking 55 degrees with a near vertical dip, is exposed over 15 metres. The vein follows a fault zone in argillite. A chip sample (No.737) across 1.05 metres assayed 34.2 grams per tonne silver and 0.2 gram per tonne gold. Previous vein samples are reported to have assayed up to 25.7 grams per tonne gold (Property File - R. Macrae [1961-01-27]: Re: Assay Samples from the B and T claims).
Also, in the area, coarse-grained, feldspar-rich granite is reported to host hematite veinlets with chalcopyrite. A chip sample (No. 738) assayed 0.50 per cent copper over 2.4 metres (Property File - R. Macrae [1961-01-27]: Re: Assay Samples from the B and T claims).
During the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, the area was prospected as the B and T claims.
