The R95-5 occurrence is located on a ridge separating Sproat and Great Central lakes, approximately 3 kilometres northwest of Ward Lake.
The area is underlain by basalt of the Upper Triassic Karmutsen Formation (Vancouver Group) crosscut by a number of northwest trending granodiorite or quartz diorite dikes. The basalt hosts small quartz veins which occur in a silicified and altered shear zone.
Locally, outcrops of basalt and andesite are stained with malachite and azurite with disseminated pyrite and minor chalcopyrite along fractures and shears. In 1995, a grab sample (R95-5) assayed 0.355 per cent copper and 0.33 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 24059).
During 1991 through 1998, J. Telegus completed programs of prospecting and geochemical sampling on the area as the Colour, Prime Stock and Alberni North claims.
