The Fantasy showing is located on the western side of the Gold River valley, approximately 25 kilometres north of the community of Gold River.

The area is underlain by volcanics of the Pennsylvanian-Devonian Sicker Group and intrusions of the Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite.
