The Chachelot property is located east of Anvil Creek, a tributary of Narrowgut Creek.
Locally, disseminated chalcopyrite and pyrite is hosted in an unaltered medium-grained granodiorite. Large rosettes of molybdenite occur at two locations in swarms of tight quartz vein fractures. The granodiorite is believed to be a small stock of the Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite, intruding Lower Jurassic Bonanza Group volcanic rocks.
In 1974, Stokes Exploration Management completed a cursory examination of the property.
