The Bark occurrence is located on an unnamed tributary of the East Klanawa River, approximately kilometres west-northwest of Hitchie Lake.
The area is underlain by granodiorite, quartz diorite, granite, quartz monzonite and monzonite of the Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite.
Locally, disseminated to massive sulphides, including native copper and chalcopyrite, occur in veins and shear zones hosted by diorite and granodiorite. A representative sample of mineralized vein material assayed 2.44 per cent copper and 24.0 parts per million silver (Assessment Report 10658).
In 1981, the Bark claim was staked and prospected by C.A. Beach.
