The Casey 1 claim is located on Hill 60.
The area is underlain by granodiorite of the Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite. To the south rocks of the Paleozoic Sicker Group dominate.
Locally, granodiorite hosts sulphide mineralization.
In 1988, a program of ground geophysical surveys and rock sampling was completed. Samples of granodiorite (no further description) assayed up to 0.18 gram per tonne gold, 3.0 grams per tonne silver and 0.119 per cent copper (Assessment Report 18561).
