The Elventor claims are located at the head of the Leech River, approximately 1.5 kilometres northeast of Weeks Lake in the Sooke Hills.
The claims straddle Leech River Complex - Survey Mountain volcanics to the west and Wark Gneiss granodiorite to the east. The units trend northeast to southwest and are separated by the Survey Mountain thrust fault. Mineralized outcrops, some containing in-situ visible gold, were found in the Survey Mountain volcanics.
The claims were staked in 2000 and 2001 to cover mineralized outcrops adjacent to producing placer claims. Prospecting of the area, through 2011, has identified a number of mineralized outcrops. The claims are owned and have been prospected by J.O. Bucove.
In 2005, a sample of granitic rock with quartz veins assayed up to 363 parts per million copper, 605 parts per billion silver, 4244.3 parts per million arsenic and 349.1 parts per billion gold (Assessment Report 28207).
