The KM18 occurrence is located north of Sprague Creek at an elevation of 1330 metres and approximately 6.5 kilometres southwest of the southwestern end of North Barriere Lake.
The area is underlain by marine sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Devonian to Permian Fennell Formation (lower structural division) and mudstone, siltstone and shale of the Mississippian Eagle Bay Assemblage (Slate Creek unit).
Locally, shale and slate near a diorite host an oxidized and vuggy quartz vein with pyrite and galena mineralization.
In 2015, a grab sample (KM18-0292611) assayed 4.2 per cent lead and 96 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 35755).
In 2018, a grab sample (KM2018-6) assayed 0.1240 per cent lead and 2.4 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 37669).
The area has been historically explored in conjunction with the nearby SC 3 (MINFILE 092P 160) occurrence. During 2015 through 2018, the area was prospected and sampled as the KM 18 claim.
