The SW Sunrise 1 occurrence is located on Noblequartz Creek at an elevation of approximately 1470 metres.
The area is underlain by chlorite schist and greenstone of Lower Cambrian age and phyllite with intercalated sediments of Mississippian age, both of the Eagle Bay Formation.
Locally, a rusty quartz vein is exposed in subcrop at the end of a logging spur road. A sample (708932) assayed 0.409 per cent lead and 76.3 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 33467).
In 2012, Montego Resources completed a program of rock sampling and airborne geophysical surveys on the area.
