The Eagle Pass Mountain occurrence is located on the north side of Crazy Creek and south of Eagle Pass Mountain.
The area lies on the south flank of the Frenchman's Cap gneiss dome in the Shuswap Metamorphic Complex. Gneiss, quartzite, schist, calc-silicate rocks, minor marble and argillite are iso-clinally folded with easterly trending structures.
Locally, along the southern flank of Frenchman Cap dome, near Eagle Pass Mountain, andalusite-sericite schists have been found. These schists contain 30 per cent andalusite and some kyanite (up to 8 per cent) in a matrix of predominantly sericite and quartz (C.D.S. Bates, personal communication 1987 to Z.D. Hora). Black tourmaline crystals, greater than 4 centimetres long and 0.8 centimetre wide, have also been identified in the area.
During 2012 through 2014, the area was prospected as the Eagle Eye claims.
