The Inonoaklin placer showing is located on Inonoaklin Creek near Wauchope Creek.

In 1899, a nugget weighing 280-310 grams (9-10 ounces) from Fire Valley Creek was purchased by the government for the 1900 Paris Exposition.

Bedrock in the area consists of granitic rocks of the Jurassic Nelson Intrusions.

Placer activity was noted on this creek, but no production is recorded. Geological Survey of Canada Open File 637 indicates a placer showing at this location (#351). No other information is available.
