The Jewel Drops property is located on the east-facing slope of Mount Begbie, to the north of Mulvehill Creek. The Mount Begbie beryl occurrence (MINFILE 082LNE015) is located 3.7 kilometres to the west.
The area is underlain by schists of the Precambrian–-Paleozoic (?) Monashee Complex (Group). Locally, an area of paragneiss metamorphic rocks is within a slightly elongated pod trending north westerly, encompassed by calc-silicate metamorphic rocks.
In 2008, a number of samples were collected from the claim: sample No 1 held minor peridote crystallization, sample No 2 is a chip sample off a narrow vein of quartzite with fine crystals of black tourmaline, sample No 3 holds a small splay of semi-clear quartz-like crystals hosting grain-sized peridote and sample No 4 is a small pegmatite sample with embedded deep red garnet crystals (Assessment Report 30234).
