The occurrence area lies within the Precambrian-Paleozoic(?) Shuswap Metamorphic Complex, a belt of high grade metamorphic rocks. Rocks on the property comprise a heterogeneous package of granitoid gneiss, augen gneiss, sillimanite-bearing schist and prominent marble and quartzite layers. Mineralization at the Star 13 showing is hosted in quartzite near the contact with biotite gneiss and calcsilicate gneiss and comprises sphalerite-pyrrhotite-pyrite +/- galena.
