On the northern shore of the Northeast Arm of Upper Arrow Lake at a point a little less than 3.2 kilometres southwest from Comaplix dock, a small band of fairly pure, light green-white talc occurs in serpentinite. The band is lens-shaped and less than 30 centimetres wide. Impure limestones occur in the near vicinity.

The area is underlain by the Cambrian to Devonian Broadview Formation (Lardeau Group) consisting of limestone, slate, siltstone and argillite.
