The G20-328 showing is located about 10 kilometres northeast of the village of Yahk, and 3 kilometres southeast of the Moyie River.
The region of the showing is underlain by argillite, greywacke, wacke and/or conglomerate turbidites of the Helikian Aldridge Formation (Purcell Supergroup). Gabbro-diorite sills and dikes of the Proterozoic Moyie Intrusions intrude the sequence.
Sample G20-328Ec was reported to occur in a pyrrhotite-rich quartzite with biotite-rich concretions. Some concretions in the region are reported to be large with others forming penny sized zones of spotting. Zinc levels from concretional material were moderate to highly elevated. The assay value for sample G20-328Ec was 0.16 per cent zinc (Assessment Report 39483).
WORK HISTORY
In 2020, a program of rock and soil sampling was conducted by Kootenay Resources Inc on their Moyie Anticline property utilizing both laboratory and portable XRF analytical techniques (Assessment Report 39483). During the 2020 field program more than 1420 XRF readings were taken and compiled. Several areas with anomalous lead, zinc, copper as well as gold were found during the program. The Moyie Anticline property covered parts of the 082GSW and 082FSE map areas.
