The KT20-127 showing is located about 8 kilometre east-southeast of the village of Yahk. In general, the region is underlain by argillite, greywacke, wacke and conglomerate turbidites of the Helikian Aldridge Formation (Purcell Supergroup). Gabbro-diorite sills and dikes of the Proterozoic Moyie Intrusions intrude the sequence.
Sample KT20-127 was collected from a 0.5-metre-thick quartzite with a calcareous bed interval having bluish weathered tinge and limonite spots. The sample returned 0.39 per cent zinc and 0.063 per cent lead (Assessment Report 39483). About 100 metres to the southwest of sample KT20-127, sample MG20-75 was collected from quartzite containing concretions. Also related were sericite-biotite-garnet and iron spots; this sample graded 0.22 per cent zinc (Assessment Report 39483).
In 2020, a program of rock and soil sampling was conducted by Kootenay Resources Inc. on their Moyie Anticline property utilizing both laboratory and portable XRF analytical techniques (Assessment Report 39483). During the 2020 field program more than 1420 XRF readings were taken and compiled. Several areas with anomalous lead, zinc, copper as well as gold were found during the program. The Moyie Anticline property covered parts of the 082FSE and 082GSW map areas.
