The Jake Ridge showing is located about 32 kilometres south of Cranbrook and about 1.5 kilometres north-northeast of Yahk Mountain. The area is underlain by sedimentary strata of the Helikian Creston Formation, Purcell Supergroup, mainly consisting of siltstone, argillite and quartzite. In 2015, Kootenay Silver Inc. conducted prospecting and mapping on their Silver Fox claim block in the Jake Ridge area which led to the discovery of a dolomitic sandstone outcrop containing chalcopyrite and galena.

Refer to the Yahk Mountain Zone (082GSW072) for further details of the Silver Fox property.
